Christmas and New Year Festivities now gone, get fit for 2009!

With the Christmas and New Year Festivities now gone, now is the time to get
fit for 2009!
The best value for money way to get fit, and stay fit, is to Walk, Jog or
Run.
And what better Target to aim for than the Popular Hastings Half Marathon,
celebrating its 25th year on March 15th.
The Event is for All abilities, and is well organised, with Fantastic Crowd
Support, and you can raise monies for the Charity or needy cause of Your
Choice.
Organised by The Lions Club of Hastings, all monies raised by The Event go
back into The Community.
The organisers are also looking for runners who took part in the first Event
back in 1985, to 'Run it again', and if necessary, come out of retirement
for the 25th Event.
So if you are one of these, or know someone who did take part in 1985, we
look forward to your valued entry.
We are also looking for Stories to publish from over the years.
We would also like to take the opportunity of congratulating two of our
regular Entrants in the Hastings Half, who were Honoured in The New Years
Honours List:-
Roger Rabbit(Del. McCarrick) M.B.E.
Sue Lambert(Serpentine) Top UK Athlete in her age category. M.B.E.
Both of the above have given great Service to their Community. Well Done.
You can enter 'on line' by going to www.hastings-half.co.uk or contact
racedirector@hastings-half.co.uk for entry forms. Entry forms also at most
Sport Shops and Centres.
Best wishes for 2009.
