Hastings Half Marathon Blog

It has just been announced that Sussex Newspapers Group, which obviously 
includes The Hastings Observer, will be Sponsoring the 2013 Sussex Athletics 
County Half Marathon Championships, which will be incorporated in the 
Hastings Half Marathon on Sunday 24th March 2013.

This is the first time in the History of the Championships that they have 
been sponsored, and Sussex Newspapers will be supplying Trophies and Prize 
Money for the first three male and female finishers. All winners in the 
various categories will receive the Sussex Medal.

It is hoped that this new move will encourage more quality for the 2013 
Championships, and give reward for good performances.

Bharat Lukka, Group Newspaper Sales and Promotion Manager is very pleased to 
be part of this new initiative for Sussex.

Eric Hardwick M.B.E., Race Director for the Hastings Half Marathon has 
complimented Sussex Newspapers for their foresight in supporting a Sussex 
Event, and feels that it can only add to the popularity of the Hastings Half 
Marathon which will be Hosting the Sussex Championships.
